AUDA – Galvanized Compressed Air Operated Automatic Shut-Off Damper with Straight Connection Edges
The AUDA automatic damper is a compressed air driven shut-off damper designed for rapid and secure closing. It features straight-edged connections and is made from galvanized steel. Microswitches can be installed on dampers up to Ø180 mm in diameter, while cylinder sensors are suitable for all sizes.
Functionality and Efficiency:The damper opens and closes automatically, directing extraction precisely to the connection points, extraction stations, or machines in use. This increases extraction efficiency and reduces overall energy consumption. The result is cleaner end-products, cleaner machines, tidier floors, and a healthier working environment.
Sealing is achieved through flexible rubber gaskets and O-rings. For diameters larger than Ø200 mm, only O-rings are used. The standard damper can withstand temperatures up to +80 °C. For higher temperature applications, PTFE-sealed connections are available. The operating pressure range is 6–10 bar.
Depending on the damper size, one or two pneumatic cylinders are used for opening and closing. The cylinders are operated by a solenoid valve connected to a machine or switch. If a microswitch is mounted on the damper, it can be used to control the fan (e.g., turning it on or off based on damper position).
